Northern New Jersey N-Trak

The story of Paterson’s locomotive manufactures is an integral part of Paterson’s history. Located in the former Roger’s Locomotive Erecting Shop, the Paterson Museum is focused on educating people about the importance of Paterson’s locomotive production and its effects on the world.

In 2007, the museum began a relationship with Northern New Jersey N-Trak, a model train hobby club founded in 1988. The club focuses on stimulating interest in both model and full-size railroads, as well as promoting N-scale railroading. The members of Northern New Jersey N-Trak set up train layouts at shows and public events. They also maintain a permanent and active train layout at the Paterson Museum, with the goal of engaging visitors of all ages and helping to highlight Paterson’s importance in railroad history.
